Manchester United Star Player MCTOMINAY has officially left Manchester United to join this Shocking Rival
According to reports, Manchester United has agreed to sell player Scott McTominay.
These summer, there have been a lot of rumors about the playmaker leaving Old Trafford. His deal ends in 2025, but he can stay with the company for another year.
The 27-year-old played in United’s first two Premier League games of the season and came on as a substitute for 12 minutes in Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Brighton.
United has now chosen to let him leave the team, though.
A story from The Athletic says that they have agreed to pay around €30 million to Napoli to bring McTominay to their team.
The move, if McTominay agrees to terms with the Italian team, will end United’s 22-year relationship with the Scotland international. United has included a sell-on option in the deal.
Because McTominay is a graduate of the school, his sale will be seen as “pure profit” in the books, which will help United avoid fines related to the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Other teams have made several offers for the player this summer, but the club has turned them all down. Fulham made an offer thought to be worth around £20 million.
He scored 10 goals across all events, which put him tied for third place as United’s top scorer. He did this mostly by running into the box late and being good at getting the ball up in the air. He also played center forward sometimes.
