A poll found that a huge majority of Manchester City fans think the club should make an offer to Pep Guardiola and make it official as soon as possible.
The City boss has not signed a new contract yet, and his old one ends at the end of this season. He has been with the club since 2016 and has won 18 big awards, including six Premier League wins.
A poll by the Manchester Evening News after the transfer window showed that City fans really want the Catalan to stay. He has done a great job since taking over from Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.
Ninety-four percent of the 1,348 people who voted think City should renew Guardiola’s deal before Kevin De Bruyne’s. The second one’s deal is also up in June of next year.
As you might expect, 93% of City fans are “very happy” with Guardiola, who used to manage Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Only 4% said they are “satisfied” with his leadership right now.
83 percent of people said they are “very happy” with how City is being run right now as far as ownership goes. 5%, on the other hand, said they are not “happy at all” with the owners right now.
This summer’s transfer window for City was not the busiest or most exciting one, but 50% of voters said they were “satisfied” with it. Three hundred and seventy-seven people said they were “very happy” with how their summer went.
An amazing 83% of people think City will keep their Premier League title and win a fifth straight title this season about their hopes for the team. That being said, 50% of people said Liverpool is the team they fear the most, while 42% said Arsenal.
Away from the field, the 115 Premier League charges that City are facing do not seem to bother fans too much; in fact, 40% of them said they were “not worried at all” about what was going on. 44% have said they are “a little worried.” Not many people (16%) chose “very worried.”
City strongly denies all charges made against them, but 45% of voters think the club will be fined if they are found guilty of the violations. Not even 8% of people think they will be kicked out of the Premier League.
