“If they sack me today, they are right…I shouldn’t have benched them, I’m sorry”: Erik ten Hag swallows his pride and apologize to Man United’s fans for benching TWO Player’s who have are the best so far in this season

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said that the response from experts was “crazy” because he put Marcus Rashford on the bench for his team’s 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.

Rashford was left out in favor of a forward line of Alejandro Garnacho, Joshua Zirkzee, and Amad Diallo, even though he had scored three goals in his last two games.

But the Red Devils did not play well and had trouble turning control into goals. They missed chances at Selhurst Park, which let the hosts get a point even though they were not at their best.

Jamie Redknapp of Sky Sports was one of the people who questioned Ten Hag’s choice to not play Rashford. He thought that there might have been other reasons behind the scenes.

There is a sense that something is wrong, Redknapp said. “I do not know the specifics.” You do not drop a guy who got two goals against Southampton and in the middle of the week, though.

“I am not sure if he is really back, but he looks like the Rashford he was two years ago.” I think something happened this week, but I do not know what is making the boss so angry. It is not common for a boss to call out players for how they live.

And Ten Hag has done it more than once. Sir Alex Ferguson would never have done it. It does not always work out well for the players.

Ten Hag then fought back, telling Redknapp and those who agreed with the former Liverpool player, “The rumors from such experts are crazy.”
