“I’m sorry to say, but he can no longer work under me at Manchester City ”- Pep Guardiola breaks £73M forgotten City’s star’s heart and tells him to look for a new club by January- It’s the End

Declaring he is not ready for their period of supremacy to end just yet, Pep Guardiola promises he will strive to turn around Manchester City’s losing run.

City dropped to a fourth consecutive loss against Brighton, the first time they have done since 2006 and the first time Guardiola has ever gone through such a stretch in his managerial tenure. At full-time, he seemed enraged; yet, when confronted by the media following the game, he converted anger into defiance.

Typically, individuals lose games. Always a first time in your life, he remarked. “This is our task, my challenge as well. I would want to confront it. I shall not retreat at all, less than in past years. More than ever I wish to accomplish and we will try once more.”

“A lifetime has always one first time. The point is we lost two Premier League games. Of course we have to adapt and return to winning; but, we are in the position shown in the standings, Champions League once more, and when the players return I have no questions about our being back at our best.”

Guardiola explained City’s loss against Brighton to a failure to sustain their effort or aggressiveness for the whole ninety minutes, allowing the hosts to come from behind and grab the three points.

“In these ten days, I shall consider [on why]. Clear our thoughts; players return fit; this is the aim,” he said. “I would want to play the level of the first half in Lisbon when the players return. I am aware of our current behavior. Although this is not my aim and I know I am not going to persuade you, I know the level we are playing is really very good in certain instant.

“We cannot, however, carry on for very long. When the players return, we will be able to develop some unique team traits. I am rather convinced about this.

And continued if this period of City domination is ending, he stressed that will not happen for lack of effort on City’s side.

“I am here when we lose; however, it seems that my arguments are justifications. That is how I feel. I am the first to confess I do not enjoy it when I play terrible, but I do not have that sensation,” he remarked.

The masses want [our period drawing to an end]. Normal; we won a lot; it occurs. If someone [wins], congrats; otherwise, I would want all of the team fighting. We are not there, hence not giving it away. I have that impression; we cannot do it every three days with our current circumstances.

“We lack [players] needed to accomplish it, but we need them. Clearly, the age is going to end; it is not everlasting. City will not win every Premier League game for the next 56 years, that is certain, but attempt to be there; why not, this is what I would want. We are going to do it again and again, but the fact is it is not enough. I observed the guys exercising and noted how they began the game in Lisbon.

“In our company, you have to win games; we are not winning games. Of course we have to modify it and the players know it; but, this will allow us to be more focused, have the drive to come back for the players to perform, and we will see. The future is what is going to happen.”
