“Sack Pep Guardiola now before it will be too late, managers have mastered his playing pattern, Manchester City needs a new Coach”- Bayern Munich Manager Vincent Kompany has told Man City Owner to Sack the Coach

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City continue to hold Max Alleyne in high regard, even as they push forward with signing Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
City have finalized a deal to bring Guehi to the Etihad for £20 million next week, with the England international set to put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year contract as he enters the final six months of his Palace agreement.
Crystal Palace will include a sell-on clause in the deal, with City beating out strong interest from Liverpool and Arsenal to secure their second significant January signing following Antoine Semenyo’s arrival from Bournemouth last week.
Initially, Guehi was thought to be inclined toward seeing out his Crystal Palace contract—set to expire this summer—which would have entitled the Ivory Coast-born defender to a substantial signing-on bonus as a free agent.
Furthermore, the former Chelsea academy product was believed to favor a move to either Liverpool or Arsenal over Manchester City, having nearly completed a £25 million switch to Anfield last summer.
However, City accelerated their pursuit of the 25-year-old following injuries to Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol during a 1-1 draw with Chelsea earlier this month, prompting club officials to intensify negotiations with Palace and persuade Guehi to team up with Guardiola.
Guehi ultimately agreed to the move and will earn approximately £300,000 per week at the Etihad Stadium, placing him among the club’s top 10 highest-paid players as he addresses a critical defensive gap during City’s pursuit of silverware across multiple competitions.
Etihad executives are reportedly thrilled with their transfer acumen, believing they’ve acquired a player who would command £80 million in the current market for a bargain price.
City are approaching crucial decisions regarding their defensive lineup, with John Stones and Nathan Ake widely anticipated to depart at season’s end. However, questions have emerged about academy prospect Max Alleyne’s future following City’s agreement with Palace for Guehi.
Alleyne was brought back from his Watford loan spell after Dias and Gvardiol’s injuries, and the 20-year-old has since started and impressed in three matches over the past fortnight—against Brighton, Exeter City, and Newcastle.
In a recent transfer update, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Guardiola is “very happy” with Alleyne, who is regarded as an exceptional talent at the club, with everyone at the Etihad Stadium equally pleased with his development.
Alleyne is expected to become a permanent fixture in the first-team squad next season as Manchester City continues their transformation under sporting director Hugo Viana, who orchestrated a major squad overhaul last summer and has now secured both Semenyo and Guehi for an impressive combined fee of £84 million in January.
