The boss who used to work for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur hasn’t had a full-time job in football since January, when he was fired by Serie A giants AS Roma. The Portuguese had a bad relationship with the club, even though he led them to the UEFA Conference League in 2021/22. At the start of the year, they decided to part ways.
Mourinho has been busy in Saudi Arabia since then, where a number of teams are thought to be interested in hiring him. The 61-year-old man has said that he would like to work in the Middle East someday.
But Mourinho hasn’t said that a return to the Premier League is impossible. We heard from our friends at the Manchester Evening News that the experienced boss would “walk to Manchester” to lead Manchester United again.
Rumors also said that Chelsea wanted to bring Mourinho back for a third time, but neither of those things seems likely to happen. What is certain, though, is that the two-time Champions League winner will be at Wembley Stadium this weekend to give his professional opinion.
