Andre Onana Biography, Net Worth, Age, Career, Family, Awards, Market Value And Many More
André Onana is a professional football player from Cameroon who was born on April 2, 1996. He now plays goalkeeping for both the Cameroon national team and Manchester United in the Premier League.
Onana, a native of Nkol Ngok, Cameroon, started playing football in 2010 at the Samuel Eto’o Academy at the age of 14. Owing to his age and lack of EU citizenship, he was loaned to Cornellà’s youth squad during the 2012–13 season and subsequently to Vista Alegre’s first team the following year.
Onana joined the Dutch team Ajax in the beginning of January 2015, and in February of that same year, he made his Eerste Divisie debut for Jong Ajax. In May 2017, he inked a new deal with Ajax that lasted until 2021. Two months later, in March 2019, he signed another deal that extended his contract until June 2022. He made 214 appearances in all competitions while he was a member of Ajax.
UEFA suspended Onana from competition for a year in February 2021 after he tested positive for the prohibited drug furosemide. Ajax joined him in appealing the ruling, claiming he had accidentally taken his wife’s medication. In June, the Court of Arbitration for Sport shortened the ban to nine months.
In July 2022, Onana signed a free move to Inter Milan, where he played one season and advanced to the Champions League final while winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana titles. Onana was then acquired by Manchester United in 2023 for a starting fee of £43.8 million.
Since making his debut in September 2016, Onana has played for the Cameroon national team more than thirty times on the international scene. He has established himself as a gifted goalie who isn’t afraid to have the ball at his feet in Europe.
André Onana’s estimated net worth as of 2023 is $5.2 million. Football contracts, salaries, endorsement deals, and sponsorship incentives are some of his sources of income. His Inter Milan contract has five years left on it; it expires on June 30, 2027. His contract has a gross remaining balance of €19,250,000.
