Barcelona manager Hansi Flick broke down in tears as another key player who is suppose to be the main man against Celtic has been ruled out for the rest of the season, a very sad moment for Flicks as the injury seems to be a career ending injury
A story says that Lamine Yamal may have to spend more time on the bench because club officials do not think he will be able to play in Saturday’s La Liga match against Celta Vigo.
Yamal, a young star player for Barcelona, hurt himself during their Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade in October. He could not go with his team on their trip to Real Sociedad and had to watch from the stands as they lost 1-0 at the Aneota.
People thought he would only be out for a few weeks because he had to stay home while Spain played Denmark and Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League. However, reports from AS say that Yamal probably will not be back for Saturday’s league game.
“It will be hard for him [Yamal] to get there on Saturday,” a person with ties to the club told the Spanish newspaper.
Without Yamal, Barça had a hard time posing an offensive threat as they lost to Sociedad. The team, which had not scored a goal in 30 games, could not get anything past La Real, even though Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha were very good.
Reports say that Yamal is still healing from his ankle injury, and the club does not want to make his weak foot worse.
Hanzi Flick, the boss, will be very upset because his team has not won a league game without Yamal yet. This season, Barcelona has lost both games against Sociedad and Osasuna without the young Spanish player on the team.
Reports say that Lewandowski, Eric Garcia, and Hector Fort can all play in Saturday’s game.
