“He is one of the reason I haven’t scored in the Premier League. I feel bullied when ever we play together. He frustrates me everytime on the pitch and makes look like a bad stricker”-Erling Haaland spotted ‘complaining’ bitterly about Man City teammate during Manchester Derby Game game and the damages he had been causing him

Erling Haaland has previously shared his perspective on the possibility of joining Real Madrid, as speculation mounts about a potential €500 million transfer to the Spanish powerhouse.
The Norwegian striker has established himself as one of Europe’s deadliest finishers, netting an impressive 287 goals across 362 club appearances throughout his career with Molde, Bryne, Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, and Manchester City.
His remarkable scoring record secured him a lucrative contract at City worth a reported £500,000 weekly before bonuses. The deal, signed in January 2024, ties him to the Etihad until June 2034.
Haaland will be 34 when that contract expires, likely beyond his prime years. Most City fans are undoubtedly hoping he honors the full length of his commitment.
However, Sky Germany reports that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is eager to bring the striker to the Santiago Bernabeu in what would shatter transfer records worldwide.
Perez is reportedly “dreaming” of securing Haaland’s signature during the summer of 2026 and maintains ongoing communication with the player’s representatives and agent Rafaela Pimenta.
According to the report, Haaland views playing for Real Madrid as a “career goal,” though any potential deal would be extremely complicated and expensive for the 15-time European champions.
Sky Germany suggests that Real would need to offload Vinicius Junior before they could afford a transfer fee exceeding €500 million (£433 million) for Haaland’s services.
Madrid previously pursued the 25-year-old back in 2022 during his Borussia Dortmund days, but he chose the Premier League route instead, signing with City.
So what has Haaland actually said about joining Real Madrid?
In March 2024, before City’s 3-1 Champions League round of 16 victory over Copenhagen, Haaland addressed the transfer speculation directly.
“Real Madrid? You never know what the future may bring,” the Norwegian responded.
Then in January 2025, when questioned again—particularly after his father Alf Inge had previously suggested he’d like to see Erling experience all of Europe’s top leagues for two or three years each when he joined City in 2022—Haaland was more dismissive.
“I just signed a nine-and-a-half year deal, so what do you want me to say?” he replied sharply. “I’m super happy with my choice, and I’m looking forward to spending many years in Manchester, and that’s really it.”
Most recently, in December 2025, following City’s 2-1 Champions League victory at the Santiago Bernabeu, Haaland couldn’t help but admire the venue.
“It’s a nice place to play. Look at this place, it’s incredible,” he remarked. “These are the games we want to play. In this format, we get to play more games, which is nice. And I like it.”
