BREAKING NEWS: Chelsea maresca wants club to sign €100m rated player from Bundesliga giants as Sancho replacement. He said, “I watched him yesterday against Real Madrid, and he immediately grabbed my attention. We need to bring him to Chelsea—urgently. He’s a much better footballer than Sancho, and I want him as Sancho’s replacement now. His impact is undeniable, and he’s exactly what we’ve been missing. We can’t afford to wait—this is the player who can transform our squad.”
Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund’s young winger Jamie Gittens, who has attracted attention from several top European clubs due to his impressive performances. The 20-year-old Englishman, who mainly plays on the left wing, has become a target for clubs like Chelsea that are looking to strengthen their attacking lineup.
Since Clearlake Capital’s takeover in 2022, Chelsea has prioritized signing top young talent from around the world. According to Bild, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in Gittens, with scouts from both clubs regularly attending Dortmund’s games. Liverpool is also reportedly monitoring the young winger’s progress.
Gittens’ Market Value and Contract
Jamie Gittens is currently valued at €35 million by Transfermarkt, but Borussia Dortmund places a much higher value on him, reportedly around €100 million. His contract runs until the summer of 2028, which gives Dortmund a strong position in any transfer negotiations, allowing them to ask for a significant fee if they decide to sell him.
Although Gittens is not yet a regular starter for Dortmund, he has shown flashes of his potential this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 10 appearances across all competitions. His latest goal came in a 5-2 Champions League loss to Real Madrid on October 22 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mudryk’s Struggles at Chelsea
In other news, Shakhtar Donetsk’s general director, Sergiy Palkin, has commented on Mykhailo Mudryk’s challenges at Chelsea, suggesting that the club has yet to figure out how to make the most of the Ukrainian winger. Mudryk joined Chelsea in 2023 but has struggled to make a significant impact. Palkin compared the situation to owning a Ferrari without knowing how to drive it, stating, “You don’t need a Ferrari if you don’t know how to drive it. A normal car will do. If you buy a Ferrari, you should think about how to handle it.”
Despite these struggles, Palkin expressed confidence that Mudryk will eventually demonstrate his talent, pointing to his strong performances with the Ukrainian national team. Since joining Chelsea, Mudryk has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 66 appearances, though his statistics with Shakhtar were stronger, with 12 goals and 17 assists in 44 appearances, showing his potential when used effectively.
