Former Manchester United Star Boy Mason Greenwood has changed his nationality today, He will never play for England again and now he will play for one of the biggest national teams

Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that former Manchester United attacker Mason Greenwood is “not in good shape” during his goal drought.

Greenwood departed United permanently in the summer, joining Marseille for about £27 million.

His entrance at the Stade Vélodrome sparked outrage among some Marseille fans. Benoit Payan, the Mayor of Marseille, also condemned the deal and asked the Ligue 1 club not to go forward with it.

Payan described Greenwood’s actions in England as “unspeakable” and “unacceptable.”

Despite this tough start to life in the South of France, Greenwood started on a high note, scoring twice on his debut in a 5-1 win against Brest in their league opener.

The Carrington academy product then scored twice in the span of a minute to help Marseille defeat Toulouse.

Greenwood has five goals from seven Ligue 1 outings.

De Zerbi earlier praised Greenwood for his valuable services to the team. However, when questioned why the striker had not scored or assisted in four games, the Italian coach took a different tone.

The Marseille manager stated, “Some of our important players, including Mason Greenwood, are not in excellent form.”

RMC Sport writer Daniel Riolo echoed De Zerbi’s feelings, saying, “Then, there are the stars, eventually the one who arrived like a star because in August, when he was hot, it was absolute ecstasy.”

“But Greenwood has vanished for three games; he no longer plays, and we have no idea where he is. He, too, will have to wake up and face his obligations.

Marseille have squandered five points in their past two top-flight encounters, dropping to third place.
