Former Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane has been appointed as the manager of Manchester United this morning after the sacking of Erik Ten Hag
After letting go of Erik ten Hag, Manchester United is looking for a new manager at Old Trafford.
After the Reds finished eighth in the Premier League, it looked like the United manager would be leaving the club in the summer. But a win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final got them into the Europa League, which gave Ten Hag a second chance.
Even though Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Dan Ashworth, and Omar Berrada spoke out in support of Ten Hag, it looked like his time at the club was coming to an end after the Reds lost badly to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. When he goes, United is 14th in the league, having won just three of their last nine games. Their most recent game was a draw with West Ham United.
With that done, Ineos will need to find a new one. While a stable new boss is hired, Ruud van Nistelrooy, who used to work as an assistant for Ten Hag, will take over as head coach.
Ratcliffe will be thinking a lot about how much it will cost to find a long-term replacement for Ten Hag. United can not spend a lot of money on a new boss because they are still trying to balance their budget after spending too much for years.
