Former Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane is set to become the manager of this Premier League club
According to a recent rumor, Zinedine Zidane is “one step away” from making a triumphant comeback to the world of football management.
Following his departure from Real Madrid in 2021, Zidane has not been involved in management since that time.
Despite being connected with a multitude of other teams, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain, the 51-year-old coach has not managed any team in his career. He has had two distinct stints with Los Blancos, but he has not coached any other team in his career.
According to a report from a Spanish news site called Mundo Deportivo, Zidane is reportedly getting close to taking over as manager of Bayern Munich, replacing Thomas Tuchel. This may be a positive development.
As a result of a dismal domestic season, Tuchel will step down from his position as Bayern manager at the conclusion of the current campaign. However, the former Chelsea manager may complete his tenure at the club as a Champions League champion for the second time in his career.
Zidane, who is 51 years old, is claimed to have requested for guarantees in the transfer market, according to Mundo Deportivo, which also reports that an agreement has not yet been signed with Zidane owing to “missing information.”

Over the last several months, Zidane has been the subject of many speculations about his prospective replacement for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
Emmanuel Petit, a former international teammate of the Real Madrid star, has said that the player has been studying English. Meanwhile, there have been rumors that the Real Madrid legend is considering taking over as manager of Liverpool from Jurgen Klopp.
Consequently, it would seem that Bayern’s interest came out of nowhere, since there have been rumors stating that the Bavarians were in discussions with Julian Nagelsmann, who is now the coach of the Germany national team, on the possibility of signing a three-year deal.
However, the announcement that Nagelsmann had signed a new deal with Germany until the 2026 World Cup put an end to any hopes of his returning to the Allianz Arena. This came little over a year after the club kicked him out of his position.
They were also interested in recruiting Xabi Alonso, who had previously played for Bayern, but the legendary player from Liverpool said publicly that he would continue to play for Bayer Leverkusen. This announcement came just before he led Bayer Leverkusen to their first Bundesliga championship.
