Former Real Madrid Gareth Bale has come out of retirement to play for this club in a sensational move. 😳
Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney claims that former Tottenham and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has received an offer from the Welsh club to join them.
Bale, who is still just 34 years old, startled fans when he announced his retirement from football in January 2023.
After leaving Real Madrid, he spent less than a year with Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer.
Since taking sole management of the Welsh squad in 2021, McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, who are located in Hollywood, have had incredible success at Wrexham.
After failing to recruit Bale the previous year, McElhenney is not giving up and is begging with the Welshman to come out of retirement for one more wonderful season in his homeland.
McElhenney is trying to persuade Bale to play professional football again now that Wrexham have risen to League One on their first attempt.
McElhenney has informed Bale that he may play golf anytime he wants as long as he is in training, as part of his most recent unorthodox offer.
Gareth Bale is still technically available! I made the appeal last year, and I’m simply going to inform Gareth that the offer is still on the table,” McElhenney told The Athletic.
“We will allow him to play golf anytime he wants. “Just as long as he comes to training, we’ll figure out how to get him on the squad.”
Gareth Bale is not thinking of playing again.
Bale has no plans to come out of retirement and restart his brilliant playing career.
The Welshman achieved success at Real Madrid, as he helped the club win three La Liga crowns and five Champions League wins.
If the Wrexham owners can persuade him to play for the club, he will become their most important player, bringing the team more success both on and off the pitch.
