“I need only one assurance before i join Manchester City”- Toni Kroos makes critical January transfer to Manchester City as the ritered German Footballer admits he is only interested in playing at Manchester City if he comes out of Retirement on ‘ONE CONDITION’
Retired Real Madrid icon Toni Kroos does not rule out, in some way, returning to his old team during a podcast he runs with brother Felix.
Early this year, Kroos stunned the soccer scene by declaring he will hang his boots with the German national team following a home-held Euros.
At the height of his ability, many thought that the 34-year-old had put on his best season since joining Madrid from Bayern Munich for a cheap cost a decade earlier.
Helping Los Blancos to record-extending 36th and 15th La Liga and Champions League crowns, Kroos could not replicate such success with Germany – which was knocked out the Euros by ultimate winner Spain at the quarterfinal stage – yet still goes down as arguably the greatest player his country has produced this century.
Currently retired, he is spending more time with his family and supervising a soccer academy in the Spanish city he has called home since 2014.
On a recent Einfach mal Luppen podcast episode, Kroos did not rule out one day returning to old companies Real Madrid.
“Now I am entirely engaged with my initiatives, but given the proximity to Madrid, my relationship at Madrid, I would never rule out doing something at the club at some time in the future,” Kroos stated.
“Now showing in the public space of the club… First of all, no matter how near I feel to the club, no is no. Of course I would not rule it out; I am not saying I am not doing or having anything to do with Real again in my whole life.
