“I will stay at Barcelona Only if these conditions are met” – FC Barcelona Manager Xavi lists three conditions to stay at Barcelona – number two is practically impossible and fans are furious about such conditions

Xavi, Barcelona’s head coach, has outlined three key conditions for his continuation at the club, according to a report by Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo.

Firstly, Xavi underscores the significance of Barcelona’s performance in the current Champions League season. He expects the team to either reach the final or emerge victorious in the tournament.

Moreover, he insists on Barcelona maintaining competitiveness in La Liga until the season’s conclusion, attributing the responsibility to the squad rather than the club management.

Secondly, Xavi emphasizes the necessity for significant reinforcements to bolster the squad. He expresses dissatisfaction with the excessive reliance on young players, irrespective of their talent.

Consequently, Xavi calls for the acquisition of key players he has previously identified, such as Martin Zubimendi, Joshua Kimmich, and Bernardo Silva. These players are valued at a minimum of €50 million each.

Thirdly, Xavi seeks assurances that Barcelona can address their Financial Fair Play concerns and promptly register players for the upcoming season.

He is frustrated by the club’s last-minute efforts to register a substantial portion of the squad’s salaries in La Liga, indicating financial constraints that impede squad development.

While Xavi’s conditions are reasonable, meeting the second requirement poses a significant challenge for Barcelona.

The club’s financial limitations mean that signing players without first offloading some would weaken the squad, a scenario Xavi aims to avoid.

Despite these obstacles, Barcelona’s leadership remains hopeful about convincing Xavi to continue at the club by presenting long-term project proposals.
