When asked if he was like Pep Guardiola, the boss of Manchester City, Vincent Kompany replied.

Yesterday, the former Etihad captain talked to the press as he tries to get his team ready for the new season.

Bayern is trying to get back on track after a bad season in 2023–24 in which they didn’t win any titles.

Bayern finished third in the Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen won the title, and Stuttgart came in second. The club also lost to Real Madrid in the last four of the Champions League.

Viele Leute waren surprised that Bayern hired Vincent Kompany after firing Thomas Tuchel, since he was in charge of Burnley’s fall from the Premier League.

Kompany had a news conference on Monday and was asked about the comments that compared him to Pep Guardiola, who used to be his boss.

He did a great job getting Burnley into the Premier League, where they played great football in the Championship.

The Clarets didn’t do very well in the Premier League, though, and Kompany’s style didn’t really work there.

The previous captain of City will hope to do much better at Bayern, and City fans will want him to do well.

Regarding comments about similarities between himself and Pep, Kompany stated (via Bayern Munich’s official YouTube channel): “He is one of the most, if not the most special leader of this age.”

“People like him always have an effect on others.” For me, the most important thing is to talk about my sports ideas. I know this question will always come up, and I have a lot of love for him.

“I match my thoughts to who I am.” Sometimes your teachers teach you a lot, but sometimes other things teach you more. Of course, Pep Guardiola made a big difference in my life. You should still go your own way, though.

These days, a lot of managers try to do the same things Pep has done or take his ideas and change them.

There’s no doubt that he changed the game, and now a lot of people want to be like Pep.

But he is the only one who can compare. Pep, who makes £378,000 a week as a manager, has done amazing things at City and is always coming up with new ideas. His collection of awards shows how successful he has been.

It will be interesting to see how Kompany does at Bayern. As a result of Burnley’s fall, some people do think he got that job by luck.

But he now has some great players to work with, and because he is so smart, there is a good chance he can chase Leverkusen and win the title back.
