it’s has been confirmed this evening that Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is interested in signing £25m Man City for his first summer signing
The manager now wants to make £25 million. Man City’s star player is his big summer signing
Reports say that Jose Mourinho wants to sign one Manchester City player this summer, since the club is willing to sell.
At the Etihad Stadium, it has been a quiet summer so far. Only one player has joined, and a few young and fringe players have left.
Ederson and Kevin De Bruyne are two players that the Saudi Pro League wants. There has been talk about them.
However, Mateo Kovacic is another player who could be leaving this summer. Fenerbahce wants him.
Jose Mourinho and Fenerbache want to buy Mateo Kovacic, but Manchester City is willing to sell him.
The Sun (28/07, p. 57) says that Jose Mourinho, who took over as boss of Fenerbahce this summer, wants to sign Mateo Kovacic.
People say that the Portuguese manager wants to sign the Croatian player as his “marquee” summer deal.
City would reportedly be willing to sell Kovacic if they got an offer of £25 million, which is how much they paid for him from Chelsea in the first place.
Kovacic has joined three Mourinho clubs but has never played for him, which is interesting. He is at the top of Mourinho’s list.
He has played for Inter, Real Madrid, and Chelsea, but Mourinho always left right before Kovacic came.
It would be smart for City to look at all of the offers for Kovacic.
His first season at City wasn’t terrible, but he also didn’t really blow people away very often. There might be a chance of a sale if Fenerbahce made an offer equal to what City paid first.
Jack Grealish called Kovacic “an amazing player” last season. If Kovacic did leave, it could give Matheus Nunes a chance to play a bigger role at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola liked Kovacic more than Nunes, so Nunes had a hard time getting playing time in his first season with the team. There is a good player there, but they haven’t been consistent. On the other hand, Kovacic leaving might have given him more chances to gain traction.
