Just In Neymar Jr. will want to return to his former European club after his stint in Saudi Arabia! According to the report, both, the club and the player have agreed that he should return when his stay in Saudi Arabia is up!
Reports from Bar Canaletes (via Football Espana) say that Neymar Jr. wants to return to Barcelona after moving to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, is said to be open to this idea because he talks to the Brazilian player a lot. The story says that they both agree that he should go back to Camp Nou when his time in Saudi Arabia is over.
The deal that Neymar signed with Al-Hilal last summer will end in the summer of 2025. He didn’t have a great start to his life in Saudi Arabia because he hurt his anterior cruciate ligament and can’t play for six months.
He is said to be looking forward to going back to Barcelona for personal reasons. One of these reasons is his family: his son lives in the city of Catalonia. Moreover, he wanted to play in the 2026 World Cup, and his chances will be better if he plays in Europe.
Given Barcelona’s money problems, the winger for the Selecao might find it hard to come home. There will also be doubts about whether or not signing the former player would be smart for the Catalans, who have done well with younger players.
Neymar played 186 games for Barcelona and scored 105 goals and set up 76 others. He helped the team win many titles. A world record €222 million was paid to get him to join Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

CEO of Barcelona Joan Laporta wants Xavi to keep his job as head coach: News reports
It is said that Barcelona president Joan Laporta wants Xavi Hernandez to stay on as head coach after this season.
In late January, Xavi said he was going to step down at the end of the season, but the team has been doing better lately. Now, they are in second place in La Liga and have made it to the rounds of the UEFA Champions League.
Xavi wants to stay, and Laporta said so in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, as reported by Forbes:
It’s okay that you’re here until the end of the season, I told him. You make the choice. Things are going well; we’re getting better. Now that he’s said it, he’s won again, and we’re smiling at each other as if to say that anything could happen. The goals have been met, and things are going better than they were before.
But being in charge of one of the world’s biggest clubs hasn’t been easy, and Xavi hasn’t changed his mind, as Laporta said:
“I asked him if there was a way for him to change his mind, but I could tell he was under a lot of stress, so I told him to take it easy if that’s how he saw it.” He says over and over that he’s leaving at the end of the season, but we’ll see.
At this point, it’s not clear who Barcelona will choose as their next boss. Xavi will want to end the season on a high note, though, with a prize before he leaves.
