Manchester City FLOP Jack Grealish leaves Man City this morning to join shocking Premier League Club as Guardiola makes key De Bruyne, Ederson transfer decisions
David Silva, Jack Grealish, Julian Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips, and Ederson all wore Man City shirts.
Sell by Joao Cancelo
It is clear that Cancelo is not in Guardiola’s plans, but he is having a hard time finding a club that wants him and can pay for him. Barcelona wants him, but they’ll probably spend any money they find in the back of the couch on something else.
Where Cancelo goes after this will be interesting to see. There’s no doubt that Man City will want Saudi Arabia to make an offer.
Madrid is selling left back Sergio Gomez. He is going back to his home country to play for Real Sociedad. And Fabrizio Romano said it.
Joshua Wilson-Esbrand – Don’t Die
Wilson-Esbrand is sure to have a spot in Guardiola’s team, even if it’s a small one. Gomez is going. It’s fine if they want to loan him out. They won’t hurt anyone if they want to sell him. Guys, do what you want.
Kalvin Phillips—Please, for the love of all that is good, sell Kalvin and find a new club. But not West Ham.
Hold on, Rodri.
Real Madrid would be better off without Rodri, which is why Man City will never, ever sell the best player in the world this summer. Not even someone would be brave enough to ask.
Maximo Perrone – Do not stop
Phillips doesn’t have to pass the torch; instead, he can give the young Perrone the bib. Folks, that bench seat needs to be filled with someone.
Keep going, Mateo Kovacic
There are better midfielders out there, but Kovacic is a good addition to Man City’s team.
Matheus Nunes: Don’t stop
We’ll give young Nunes a second chance even though his first season at the Etihad wasn’t very impressive.
Kevin De Bruyne – Stay: It doesn’t make sense for Man City to cash in on De Bruyne, who has one year left on his deal. There was always a chance of a new deal, but it looks like the Belgian will move to the US or Saudi Arabia in a year. Reports say that the latter are very interested this summer.
Sell by James McAtee
As far as I can tell, McAtee will not be a consistent player for Guardiola. He could play for a Premier League team in the bottom half, though.
Loan from Oscar Bobb
Norwegian star child Bobb can make a huge difference for City, and he already has, but a year away to work on his skill could make or break his future. It wouldn’t do for him to be on the bench most of the time. He is too good and bright.
Bernardo Silva: Don’t move.
There is a lot of talk about Silva every summer, usually about Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. It’s the same this year.
He might have a release option, and Barcelona would have signed him a long time ago if they weren’t so broke. City will not have to get in the way of Silva if they can get the money. No matter what, he is a very important and great player for the Citizens, and they should not sell him at all.
Keep that Phil Foden
That player should stay with Manchester City. He was named Premier League Player of the Season. Of course f**king not.
Jack Grealish: Offer to Buy
Pep has added Jeremy Doku and Savio to play the creative part on the left that we thought Grealish would play after his record-breaking £100 million move from Aston Villa in 2021. He hasn’t been the clever, risk-taking winger we loved at his previous club because Guardiola has put limits on such a brilliant footballer. Instead, he’s been just another part of the system.
While Grealish was England’s “Clamour King” in previous events, he wasn’t even on Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 team, which most people couldn’t understand. The people who were most angry were likely his family, friends, the player, and Hellmann’s.
Grealish needs to get out of City and fly again. He has won a lot of pots and pans and was a big part of the team’s 2022–23 Treble win, but now seems like the right time. And he is more than qualified to play for any other Premier League team.
Jeremy Doku – Keep: The take-on king had a rough first year in Manchester, but it’s clear that he’s a very bright kid.
Julian Alvarez – Do Not
Man City is not interested in the future of World Cup winner Alvarez, even though there has been a lot of talk about it. Aníbal would like to be the star player, just like Gabriel Jesus did when he left for Arsenal in 2022. That’s hard to do when Erling Haaland is on your team.
After De Bruyne’s injury in August and again in January, Alvarez played 54 times across all competitions last season. He might want to be one of the first players on the teamsheet every week, but he still deserved to be there. He took on the role of set-piece and was bloody good at it. This Argentine player played 54 games and started 39 of them, including 31 in the Premier League.
The rumors have died down over the past few weeks, and it looks like Alvarez will stay at City. This is good for both the player and the club.
