Manchester City Goal keeper Ederson leaves Man City this morning to join shocking Premier League Club as Guardiola makes key De Bruyne, Bernardo transfer decisions

Manchester City is on the cusp of a significant change between the posts, with a potential transfer deal in the pipeline to replace the incumbent Ederson. The Brazilian goalkeeper’s future at the Etihad Stadium has been shrouded in uncertainty, fueled by his reported aspirations to join the Saudi Pro League last summer and his inconsistent playing time this season.

Despite Pep Guardiola’s continued confidence in Ederson, the manager’s increased reliance on Stefan Ortega in several pivotal matches has sparked intense speculation about Ederson’s long-term prospects. With Football Insider previously disclosing that “massive offers” are anticipated to materialize for the City goalkeeper, it appears increasingly likely that Ederson will depart in the summer.

In anticipation of Ederson’s exit, Manchester City has been actively pursuing Porto’s talented Diogo Costa as a potential replacement. According to insiders, negotiations between the two clubs have reached an advanced stage, with a £51 million transfer fee on the table. Goalkeeping coach Xabier Mancisidor reportedly held a remote meeting with Costa, during which the Portuguese goalkeeper gave his unequivocal approval for the potential move.

However, Porto is resolute in its stance on Costa’s £64 million release clause, despite Manchester City’s endeavors to negotiate a more favorable fee. Costa’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has played a pivotal role in facilitating discussions, but the final price tag remains a point of contention between the two clubs.
