Fede Valverde talked about which team, Real Madrid or Manchester City, was playing better football going into the second match.
In a way, Valverde is talking about which team has played better football for most of the season.
One reason for this is that, unlike Real Madrid, Manchester City has not been the best team in their league this season.
It looked like Pep Guardiola’s team at the Etihad Stadium would win on Wednesday.
From what the official website of the Champions League says, the numbers do not lie.
The number of tackles Manchester City made was 120, while Real Madrid only managed 19.

It’s telling that Valverde said that.
To begin, the fact that Federico Valverde, a defender for Real Madrid, said such a thing shows that some of the best players in the world value Manchester City.
A player for a big club like Los Merengues probably won’t say that another team played better football than them.
Valverde did, though, and we respect him for being honest.
At the same time, the Uruguayan’s appointment shows that Real Madrid only wants to win. City has a similar mindset, but they also think about how they want to play a lot more than their European rivals.
This way of thinking about sports is just because the two clubs have different ways of life.
