Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has announced Very Sad news for Rodri as he is set to miss Premier League opener Vs Chelsea tomorrow
Rodri will not be able to play for Manchester City when they go to Chelsea on Sunday.
The most exciting game of the first weekend of the Premier League season is at Stamford Bridge, where new Blues manager Enzo Maresca will play Pep Guardiola, who used to be his coach.
But the defending winners will be missing Rodri, who was very important and helped City go 74 games without losing before they lost the FA Cup Final at the end of last season.
Rodri had to leave Spain’s Euro 2024 final win over England at halftime, so he will not be able to play in the first game of the new season. He has also not yet returned to training with City.
