Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne receives £1million-a-week offer to leave Manchester City this January to join this Shocking Club

Manchester City’s dismal form continued with a 1-1 draw against Everton on Boxing Day, leaving manager Pep Guardiola facing mounting pressure. The team’s struggles were evident, and tensions ran high, particularly between Guardiola and star player Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne, who was introduced in the 75th minute, made little impact and promptly headed for the tunnel after the final whistle. His abrupt exit was notable, with talkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham commenting that De Bruyne was “probably the first down the tunnel.”

Former City defender Danny Mills, who was providing commentary for talkSPORT, observed that De Bruyne’s departure was “acrimonious,” with Guardiola’s attempt to greet him being rebuffed. Mills suggested that De Bruyne’s frustration stemmed not only from the result but also from being limited to just 15 minutes of playing time.

Guardiola acknowledged the need for reinforcements, particularly with several key players sidelined due to injury. However, he emphasized the importance of signing players who can contribute in the long term, rather than just providing a short-term fix.

The City manager conceded that the team’s injury woes have been ongoing for an extended period, with eight important players currently unavailable. He expressed his intention to discuss potential solutions with the club, hinting that new signings may be necessary to revitalize the team’s fortunes.
