Pep Guardiola broke down in tears after Key Manchester City Star boy who was suppose to be the main man against Chelsea has been injured this evening
A terrible accident happened to Oscar Bobb, a star player for Manchester City, just days before the start of the new Premier League season.
Man City wants to break the record by winning their fifth straight Premier League title in 2024–25, and Oscar Bobb was going to be a big part of their effort.
The winger, who is 21 years old, scored the game-winning goal in the last second of a 3-2 win over Newcastle in January, which was one of his many cameos last season.
Bobb had a great preseason with City and helped them tie the game against Manchester United in the Community Shield on Saturday.
This season, the Norway international looked like he would be one of Pep Guardiola’s top choices on the right wing. But on Wednesday, it was announced that Bobb had broken a bone in his leg.
Some people started spreading rumors early Wednesday evening before Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail confirmed the news.
Bobb will not be able to work for a few months, but City has not yet finished their full evaluation.
Guardiola’s top choice on the right wing is new signing Savio, but Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku can also play there. Bobb is not there.
Because of this big medical setback and the fact that Julian Alvarez left for Atletico Madrid, City may need to find a new attacker.
On Sunday, August 18, City will play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the first game of their Premier League title defense. The game could be tough for City.
