Pep Guardiola have just announced the shocking VAR Error By referees of Manchester City VS Manchester United- PGMOL under scrutiny over surprising VAR mistake made by The Referee during the Man City Vs Man United after Diogo Dalot was not Giving a RED CARD after rough Tackle and VAR check

Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot avoided a red card for his challenge on Jeremy Doku during Saturday’s derby against Manchester City, with officials later explaining their decision-making process. The Portuguese defender received only a yellow card after his high boot caught Doku’s knee.
Referee Anthony Taylor’s original yellow card decision was reviewed by VAR but ultimately upheld. Officials concluded the incident lacked sufficient intent to warrant an upgrade to a red card. The Premier League’s match centre explained on X that while the challenge was reckless, “the contact deemed to be glancing and not with excessive force.”
Former United captain Gary Neville, commentating for Sky Sports, voiced his concerns about the tackle before VAR confirmed no further action would be taken. “Not good. It is knee high,” Neville observed. “The ball is there and Jeremy Doku shifts it. Diogo Dalot is very late. He is clearly looking for the ball, but Doku is too quick for him.”
The derby carried major significance for both teams. United were pushing to strengthen their European qualification hopes with a victory over their local rivals, while City sought to apply pressure on league leaders Arsenal by securing all three points at Old Trafford.
City entered the match trailing Arsenal by six points after going three league games without a win. United, sitting seventh in the table, had struggled to capitalize on a favorable fixture run but remained just three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
Interim United boss Michael Carrick addressed his team selection when questioned by Neville on Sky Sports, particularly his decision to bench Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha. “We’ve got a good squad of players, that’s something that we’ve got to decide on,” Carrick explained. “There was always going to be players disappointed not to start, but finishing the game is even more important these days. They’ve got huge talent. It’s not personal at all. I’m a big fan of both boys and they’ll make a big difference for us.”
Kobbie Mainoo was handed his first Premier League start of the season, a decision Carrick enthusiastically backed. “Kobbie is a fantastic player with huge talent and ability,” he said. “A big thing for me is he’s played in some huge occasions and being able to cope with the expectation—he’s played with the national team so that element goes with it—and I’m looking forward to seeing him thrive.”
