Premier League have just announced the shocking VAR Error By referees of Chelsea vs Brighton- PGMOL under scrutiny over surprising VAR mistake made by The Referee during the Chelsea vs Brentford match not awarding Marc Cucurella a Penalty after a harsh tackle

After an odd ruling that overturned a Chelsea penalty, VAR caused more trouble.

The Blues were given a penalty kick in the first half of their game at Brighton because Facundo Buonanotte was judged to have fouled Marc Cucurella.
On the other hand, replays showed that Buonanotte won the ball with a well-timed tackle. VAR then asked referee Michael Salisbury to look into it again.

Salisbury looked at the video screen and reversed the penalty. However, he called for a drop ball instead of a Chelsea corner for some reason.

As the news spread that Premier League clubs are going to vote on whether to keep VAR, the judging became controversial once more.

There were a lot of confused fans on social media about the result. One on X said, “Good call, not a penalty, but should have been a corner to Chelsea.”
Why the f*** is it not a corner if it’s not a penalty? “They still get it wrong even when VAR works “right,” an additional source said.

“Sometimes I don’t understand the refs in this EPL,” said a third. If Chelsea doesn’t get a penalty, they get a corner. It’s very clear.”

“Sorry.” Not a pen. Not a corner. Chelsea doesn’t get the ball. “WTF?” asked a fourth.

Chelsea got the first goal just after the half-hour mark, thanks to a great header from Cole Palmer on Cucurella’s left cross.
