After fracturing his nose, Kylian Mbappe may miss the remainder of France’s Euro 2024 campaign, according to Spanish physician Angel Martin. In tonight’s 1-0 victory over Austria, he suffered a serious nose injury (June 17).
According to Spanish physician Martin, who spoke with Radio MARCA, Mbappe may need to heal from his nose injury for two to three weeks without moving it. That would probably exclude him from the remainder of Euro 2024:
“Kylian Mbappe may not be able to move his nose for two to three weeks following surgery if he has fractured it.”
Bloodied, the 25-year-old suffered a serious hit to his nose in the 87th minute following a collision with Kevin Danso of Austria. The 90th minute saw the forced substitution of Olivier Giroud replacing Les Bleus’ skipper.
Following France’s victory over Austria in Group D, Didier Deschamps discussed Mbappe’s injury. Through transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, he stated:
“Yes, it seems like Kylian Mbappe fractured his nose.”
