Saudi Arabia Club Al-Ittihad has pulled out from Signing Manchester City Star after the Club requested for £100 million, personal agreement reached with the player but deal has been Cancelled

WHERE HAPPEND?
At the Etihad Stadium, the 33-year-old playmaker has started the last 12 months of his contract. The Belgium international has drawn attention from teams in the big-spending Saudi Pro League without any extension decided upon as yet.

The larger picture
Al-Ittihad was eager to have modern-day great De Bruyne on their books; they already had Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Fabinho on file. The six-time Premier League title winner approved of their rich offer on the table.

Was it known?
But transfer specialist Rudy Galetti claims Al-Ittihad is leaving after City’s demands on a sum turn off them. Said to have been turned down is a £25 million ($32m) bid; past reports indicate the Blues are waiting for closer to £50m ($64m).

NEXT?
Al-Ittihad think they have enough quality midfield alternatives to get by for now, as Houssem Aouar is already under contract. If De Bruyne keeps heading toward free agency, he might resurface on their recruitment radar in 2025.
