Raheem Sterling broke up with Chelsea, and Gary Neville told him not to sign with either Manchester United or Arsenal.
New Chelsea boss has told the former Manchester City star that he is no longer needed and that he should find a new club before the transfer window closes.
Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in signing the 29-year-old, but Neville thinks that he would have a hard time getting into the first team at both clubs.
He said, “I love Raheem Sterling and worked closely with him when I was there. I am not sure why Manchester United would see that as a business deal right now, looking at their team.”
“They need to get the most out of their players.” You can see Amad, Antony, Rashford, and Garnacho play in those spots.
“If they are losing faith in one or more of those players, they might sign Raheem Sterling, but it does not seem like Manchester United needs to make that move right now.” They need four guys to get in shape and start playing.
Neville said this about Sterling’s chances of getting better at Arsenal, which is trying to win the title: “Arsenal have Jesus, Trossard, and Martinelli who can play on that left side, and Saka on the other side who is so steady and always there.”
“It does not stand out or seem to make sense.” The way things have been going for Chelsea over the last few weeks makes it easy to see why they want to get rid of him.
