“We are finished we are not winning the league again, ‘No thanks’-Manchester City fans sent into panic mode after Key Player has announced he will be leaving Manchester City this Season
“We are done,” and “No thanks,” yelled Manchester City fans after Kyle Walker’s plans for the new season were revealed.
Fan pages for Manchester City are going crazy on social media because of Kyle Walker’s latest statement before the new season.
The 34-year-old player came back to the Etihad Stadium after a great game with England at the European Championships. His play helped Gareth Southgate’s team make it to the final, where they will play Spain.
Walker was not able to go on Manchester City’s pre-season tour of the United States because his vacations went on longer into the summer. He has since returned to the City Football Academy in preparation for the new season.
As part of getting ready for the new season, the leader of Manchester City has been setting personal goals and aims. One of these is to score goals, even though he is usually a right back.
In the most recent episode of his BBC Sounds show, “You will Never Beat Kyle Walker,” the captain of Manchester City talked about his plans to score more goals for the team in the 2024–25 season.
“This season, I am going to really try to get a few more goals because I think I get to good spots,” Walker told co-host Chris Huges. “That is something I need to work on, you know, since I am 34 now,” he said.
Walker was so sure that he could score a goal for Manchester City this season that he offered to take Hughes out to lunch the day after Hughes scored for Pep Guardiola’s team.
Getting a goal would be a big improvement over what Kyle Walker did last season, when he played 47 times across all events and scored no goals but set up five others.
This summer’s transfer window has also left some people wondering about the full-back’s future, as it was widely believed that officials in Saudi Arabia valued his services.
Since those suspect rumors, not much has changed. Kyle Walker is now likely to stay in Manchester past the current summer transfer window and into the new season, where he may also keep his captaincy.
