United will want to get back on track after losing to Brighton & Hove Albion in extra time when they play Liverpool at home in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils have not found their rhythm yet in 2024–25. They lost the Community Shield on penalties, hurt badly at the Amex Stadium, and barely beat Fulham in the end. If they win against Liverpool, it could be the start of their season.
But Erik ten Hag is still having a hard time at Old Trafford because of his problems. Manuel Ugarte, who was signed on the last day of the transfer window, has not yet been registered, so the Dutch coach is missing him. Also, many of his new Manchester United teammates are stuck in the treatment room.

Man United’s defense is the worst because both senior left backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are out with injuries. Therefore, Diogo Dalot is most likely to start on the left side of defense, with new player Noussair Mazraoui lining up at right back.
The Red Devils also can not use a new player they just got. Leny Yoro hurt himself badly in preseason and probably will not be able to play again until at least November. Victor Lindelof, another center back, is also out with a toe injury.
