Premier League manager has been officially sacked this afternoon after club announced his exit

Supporters of Liverpool have voiced frustration with manager Arne Slot following a controversial post-match interview by Mohamed Salah after the team’s 3-3 stalemate with Leeds United. Some fans are calling for the Dutch manager’s dismissal amid what seems to be a significant dispute between the two.
Slot, previously manager at Feyenoord, has left Salah on the bench for the team’s previous three matches, during which they secured only a single victory. The Egyptian forward’s most recent appearance in the starting lineup was during the Champions League defeat to PSV Eindhoven on November 26.
After remaining unused during the Leeds match, Salah shared his perspective with journalists, claiming he’s been unfairly blamed for the team’s poor results. The 33-year-old forward revealed that his working relationship with Slot has deteriorated completely, prompting supporters to choose sides in what resembles an internal club conflict.
Many Liverpool supporters believe Slot, whose tenure has witnessed a significant decline in the team’s performance this season, bears responsibility for the situation. They’ve expressed this view through social media posts calling for his termination.
One supporter criticized the Dutch manager for damaging the club and undermining Jurgen Klopp’s achievements, demanding his immediate removal. Other fans defended Salah entirely, directing criticism solely at Slot while advocating for new leadership. One supporter highlighted the inconsistency of benching Salah while continuing to start Cody Gakpo despite subpar performances. Additional fans characterized the treatment of Salah as disrespectful to both the player and supporters.
This season has seen Salah underperform compared to his usual standards, registering five goals and three assists across 19 matches in all competitions. The former Chelsea player was instrumental in Liverpool’s 2024-25 Premier League championship campaign, leading in both goals and assists. Throughout his Liverpool career, he’s netted 250 goals in 420 matches and recently committed to a two-year contract extension.
**Liverpool concede late in dramatic Leeds encounter**
Liverpool surrendered a comfortable two-goal advantage at Elland Road during their Premier League clash with Leeds United, ending in a 3-3 stalemate. Seeking just their second victory in six matches, the Reds faced a determined Leeds team fresh off a midweek triumph over Chelsea.
Hugo Ekitike gave Slot’s team the lead in the 48th minute before doubling their advantage two minutes afterward. Leeds fought back through Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s penalty in the 73rd minute, followed by Anton Stach’s equalizer two minutes later.
When Dominik Szoboszlai scored cleverly in the 80th minute to restore Liverpool’s lead, it appeared they would secure the win. However, Leeds midfielder Ao Tanaka netted in stoppage time, firing home from close distance following a corner to complete the comeback.
