Former Chelsea manager and Chelsea player Frank Lampard has been appointed as the manager of this shocking Premier League Club

A recent report suggests that Frank Lampard is unexpectedly being considered as a potential candidate for the position of head coach of the Canada national team.

According to The Telegraph, the Canadian Football Federation has included Lampard in a shortlist of managerial candidates as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup, which they will co-host with Mexico and the United States.

Lampard, the former England international, has been without a coaching role since his stint as Chelsea’s interim manager concluded unsuccessfully at the end of the previous season.

Reports indicate that Canada is interested in engaging in discussions with Lampard, while the 45-year-old is eager to return to coaching if the right opportunity arises. However, it remains uncertain whether the Canada job will appeal to him.

Following the departure of John Herdman last summer to assume the role of head coach at Toronto FC, Mauro Biello has been serving as Canada’s interim coach.

Although Lampard spent a year in the United States towards the end of his playing career with New York City FC, he has never previously managed a team abroad.
