A Liverpool Player Is Poised To End His Contract With The Club And Transfer To Barcelona In January, Citing A Desire To No Longer Play Under Jurgen Klopp
Adrián San Miguel, the goalie for Liverpool, has made it clear that he wants to go back to La Liga during the summer transfer window. Mucho Deporte says that the 37-year-old talked about his future at Anfield in an interview with Movistar Plus.
This season, Adrián hasn’t played much for Liverpool. He hasn’t played in any games and has only been in two since the start of the 2021/22 season.
Since his deal with the Merseyside club ends in June, it looks more and more likely that he will look for work elsewhere.
Adrián wants to return to La Liga during the next transfer window. He moved from Real Betis to West Ham United in 2013 and then joined Jürgen Klopp’s team for free after six years with West Ham.
“After spending 11 seasons in the Premier League, I am eager to return to La Liga,” Adrián said, expressing his goals. For me, it would be the end of an important part of my work.
Even though I’m 37, I still think my body is ready to fight at a high level. As a goalie, it’s important to stay in shape and avoid major injuries, and I think I’ve done a good job of that.
He also said, “I’m sure I still have a lot of football left in me, and the idea of going back to La Liga is really appealing to me.” But my goals and standards must be in line with the project and the club’s strategy.
Adrián hasn’t talked about his future with Liverpool yet; for now, his main focus is still on a possible move to La Liga.
He made it clear: “I have not had any official talks with Liverpool about my future.” But I’m keeping a close eye on what’s going on in La Liga because I know a lot about it and have good memories of it.
Real Betis is likely to lose Claudio Bravo when his deal ends next month. This means that Adrián could become a choice for the Andalusian club during the next transfer window.
