BREAKING NEWS: ‘He played just like Prime Lampard. He showed that there’s still hope for Chelsea’s midfield. I have rumors that he might be on the bench despite his performance but I’ll make sure that he starts every match moving forward’ – This is according to Chelsea legend John Terry as he praises the underrated Chelsea player after a fantastic performance against Aston Villa.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes lauded midfielder Sofyan Amrabat for his stellar performance in the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.

The Moroccan international was chosen to play in the holding midfield role, stepping in for Casemiro, who was not fully fit for the match.

Amrabat delivered an outstanding performance, making 37 touches and completing 93% of his passes (25 out of 27). He also contributed defensively with two duels won, two clearances, two tackles, and a blocked shot, while losing possession only three times — an impressive feat in such a high-stakes game.

After United’s 2-1 victory, Scholes praised Amrabat on Instagram, comparing the 27-year-old to a “prime Gattuso” for his commanding presence on the pitch.

Amrabat joined Manchester United on loan from Fiorentina last summer for a significant €10 million fee, amid much speculation. Initially used as a left-back by manager Erik ten Hag, he later transitioned to midfield, making several impactful appearances.

Despite a slow start to his United career, Amrabat has recently made a strong case for himself with standout performances against Arsenal, Newcastle United, and now in the FA Cup final. This raises questions about whether the club will activate the €20 million buy option to retain him permanently at the end of the season.

With Casemiro no longer in peak form, retaining Amrabat could be a strategic move for United. However, the club’s new management may have other plans. Meanwhile, Amrabat’s recent form has also attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, with Fulham and Crystal Palace reportedly scouting him for potential summer moves.
