Chelsea Manager Mouricio Pochettino has been sacked in shocking scene this morning by the Management after fans demands his dismissal

Marc Cucurella says that Mauricio Pochettino has the backing of his Chelsea players, even though no one knows what will happen with him this summer.

There is a lot of heat on Pochettino as the end of his first season as Blues manager draws near. Chelsea is ninth in the Premier League, 19 points behind the top four teams. They have only won 13 of their 33 games.

Players have cost over £1 billion since Todd Boehly’s group took over just over two years ago, but the team isn’t doing nearly as well as it should. According to reports, the leadership was “seriously considering” firing Pochettino this summer after Arsenal beat them 5-0 and Manchester City beat them 1-0 in the FA Cup semi-final.

When Pochettino’s team fell behind 2-0 to Aston Villa on Saturday, things looked bad for him. But they fought back to tie the game 2-2, and they would have won if VAR hadn’t controversially ruled out Axel Disasi’s late goal. Cucurella thinks Pochettino is doing a good job with Chelsea and warrants more time.

To the Evening Standard, they asked him if the comeback in the second half against Villa showed that the players want Pochettino to stay. “Yes, for sure,” he replied. At halftime, he spoke very well, and everyone could see how the team responded. We don’t always win, which is part of the game. But I think the real problem is that we have the talent but don’t always show what we can do.

“I don’t think the boss can do anything when we lose 5-0.” I believe it has more to do with how we (the players) act. He’s helped us a lot, can talk to people well, and I know the team is behind him. Things are going well for us. Because we want to win, we all need to get better every week, stay the same, and carry ourselves the same way every minute. We can do good things if we stick together.

Pochettino was happy with how they played against Villa because they had “given up” in the second half against Arsenal. Before Disasi’s exciting header was ruled off because Benoit Badashile pushed him in the box, Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher scored great goals.

When Pochettino joined Chelsea at the beginning of the season, he signed a deal for two years with the chance of a third year. But the fact that Graham Potter was fired less than seven months into a five-year contract shows that people at Stamford Bridge only think about the short run.

Pochettino has asked co-owners Boehly and Behdad Eghbali and sports heads Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart to explain things. The danger of being fired still hangs over his head, even though he has already started making plans for the summer trade window and pre-season. On Thursday, Chelsea plays Tottenham again. The rest of the season ends with games against West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Bournemouth.
