FC Barcelona fans left in shock this evening after hearing the heartbreaking news about Ronald Araujo

Today, it was revealed that Ronald Araujo will be leaving the camp for the Uruguayan national team early.
Araujo was one of the players that La Celeste boss Marcelo Bielsa chose to let go before the team’s friendly match against Ivory Coast later this week.
Araujo also didn’t play in last week’s friendly against Euskadi, so he came back to Uruguay without having played any minutes.
At first, Araujo’s leaving the national team camp wasn’t thought to be because of a health or injury issue.
The news outlet Mundo Deportivo now says that Araujo was let go because his thigh muscles were getting too tired.
There is no reason to think that the physical problem is serious, but the Uruguayan national team chose to be safe and sent him back to Barcelona to help him heal and keep the overload from getting worse.
Jorge Giordano, who is in charge of the Uruguayan national team, stated that Araujo trained with the rest of the team with the “desired intensity.” He also emphasised that Araujo was there for all 14 training sessions over the course of 10 days, which shows how important he is to the team.
Concerns about Araujo’s ability to play in Barcelona’s upcoming game against Las Palmas are unfounded, as the stated muscle overload is not likely to make him unavailable.
In the coming weeks, Barcelona boss Xavi may be careful about how much the defender is asked to do, especially with important games coming up against PSG and Real Madrid.
